Narendra Modi this morning launched "Garib Kalyan Yojana" via video conferencing to help boost livelihood opportunities in rural India. The scheme also aims to help the migrant workers who were left jobless after coronavirous lock down in march.
Government is trying its best to make sure that you can find jobs while staying in your villages so that you don't need to take loan an amid the pandemic.
PM Modi said, skill mapping of the rural migrant labor being done to help them work closer home.The government is injecting Rs 50,000 crore worth project to be implemented in a mission mode compaign in 125 days in 116 districts of 6 states that will generate employment to migrants.
In a major announcement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana till on November 2020. Under this scheme, over 80 crore people will get 5 kg wheat 1 kg black gram and 5 kg rice of per month.
Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, the center announced a package of Rs 1.75 lakh crore. In the last three months, Rs 31000 crore were deposited in bank accounts in 20 crore poor families. Also, Rs 18000 crore were deposited in bank accounts of more then 9 crore farmers.
